Gloucestershire Young People of the Year 2008
Young people like to have a good time. They do daft things. They act in a way that is often misunderstood by their elders. Remember when you were like that? Despite popular opinion, 100s of gifted young people in Gloucestershire work selflessly, for no reward, to help their peer group, community, the underprivileged or the needy.
Their contribution, however small, is often regarded as insignificant and goes un-noticed. Which is where Gloucestershire's Young People of the Year Award comes in. Established in 1994, the Award celebrates young people who make a difference. So if you know someone aged between
16 and 25 who gives their time, effort and energy to help others, this is the time to get them the recognition they deserve. Everyone in the county should have a chance to see the positive things our young people do - the Award can help achieve this goal.
Over the previous years we have had young people from the Diocese nominated and receiving awards, please act quickly when nomination forms appear around Christmas of each year
